Organisers of the meeting, the Wingham Advancement Group, were very happy with the turnout and count the evening as a success.
Acting Local Area Commander of the Manning Great Lakes command, Superintendent Peter McKenna, and Inspector Christine George were in attendance.
Superintendent McKenna took the floor to acknowledge community concerns and explain the current policing measures in the district.
This was followed by a question and answer session with members of the public and the Wingham Advancement Group putting their questions to the superintendent.
A more detailed report of the meeting will appear in next week's edition of the Wingham Chronicle.
