This entailed constructing and installing colorbond shelters over the four picnic tables already in existence.
Thanks to the generosity of the Wingham Junior Rodeo committee, funding was made available for most of the materials required whilst Greater Taree City Council provided hardware such as cement, bolts and screws. Machins Mill, Manning River Steel and Petries Hardware were also generous with the discounts offered.
Rotary and WAG members constructed the units at the men's shed and everything was transported and assembled on site, when volunteers were available for the various working bees. Many hours were spent on this project and it is clear that Wingham people are always willing to do things to help themselves, and to assist the council in keeping costs down. All those involved had a great sense of satisfaction with the finished job.
