Mr Bromhead said funding is available for local infrastructure projects that will benefit the local community. Applications for funding are open until Friday, August 7, 2015.
“The Community Building Partnership program can make a real difference to the Myall Lakes community so I encourage local groups to get involved and to lodge an application,” Mr Bromhead said.
“The NSW government is looking for projects that will deliver positive social, recreational or environmental outcomes through the construction or improvement of community facilities.
“The program also helps create local jobs by supporting local businesses.
“Our recent state budget outlined a record $68 billion infrastructure program, including major transport and road projects, and upgraded schools and hospitals.
“But we also know the importance of local infrastructure projects and how they can deliver vital improvements in the local community.
“Many local sporting and community groups in Myall Lakes have received grants over the past four years that have enabled them to carry out projects which otherwise would have taken years to complete.
“I encourage groups in Myall Lakes to put forward their proposals.”
The Wingham football Club was a recipient of a previous grant of $6,912 for upgrade to canteen and toilets.
