Amongst those being honoured were Alexander (Bill) Archinal from the Mount George Recreation Reserve Trust, and Donald Gibson, Edward Gibson and Alison McIntosh from the Killabakh Public Hall Trust.
Mr James McCarthy and Ms Lola Turner of the Caffreys Flat Public Hall Reserve Trust will be presented their certificates when Mr Bromhead attends a function on Saturday July 18 at the Caffreys Flat Hall.
“We here in Myall Lakes are truly fortunate that we have amongst us, a group of dedicated and wonderful individuals who give their time freely towards developing their own local community including halls, gardens, parks and the like,” Mr Bromhead said.
“Without diligent volunteers, our community assets would not be able to sustain themselves. I am delighted that the NSW Nationals have decided to recognise these exceptional persons,” Mr Bromhead said.
“I would like to take this opportunity to recognise the volunteers and also sincerely thank them once again for their time and dedication.”
In New South Wales there are around 35,000 Crown reserves that provide for a wide range of experiences and activities, as well as significant environmental and cultural benefits, for the entire community.
Many of these reserves are managed by Community Trust Boards. Members of Trust Boards are one of the many volunteers who play an important role in the management of these valuable community assets.
Crown Lands have recently introduced Service Recognition Awards to acknowledge members who have dedicated over 10 years of voluntary service to the management of a community Trust Board.
