THE Pit Game Club of Australia benched 310 birds from 20 breeders from as far south as the Victorian border, to north of Coffs Harbour and west to Bathurst, at the annual judging held this year at Taree Showground.

“There were some extremely good exhibits and the judges Alan Bailey and Jim Brown were impressed with the consistent quality across all sections,’’ secretary Ted Vaughan said.
The bird of show and reserve were all won by Ted Vaughan as was champion large fowl and reserve.
Champion bantam was also won by Ted Vaughan and reserve by Steve Adams of Llandilo, best black muff bantam was won by Mark Waters of Wingham, best muff of show was won by John Lawler of Borenore.
Feature breed was Pea comb which was well represented and was won by Ian Martin of Wingham.
The judging was followed by a social evening at the Club Taree.
