Organised by the Rotary Club of Taree, the program is delivered to all high schools in the Manning Great Lakes area over four days, with Wingham High and St Clare's High School attending on the Thursday.
Event coordinator Laurie Easter said, "They (the students) get a lot out of it."
"It's aimed at young people getting their learner's licence, and looking at the choices they make," he said.
In its eleventh year, the program delivered six sessions: story from a crash survivor, police session, hazards and perceptions, personality test, fatal crash story and a practical lesson on stopping distances.
St Clare's student Jordan Martyn said the day was "really beneficial," while her mates Taneeka Simon and Emily Fowle called it "emotionally straining" and "a wake-up call."
Wingham High student Elizabeth Anderson-Wisely said, "It makes you think more about driving, some of it was shocking."
