The writer has 23 self published books and will continue his unique work with schools in the region.
Davies' school work includes running workshops with groups of kids in which he gets them to imagine the characters and plot twists to fit a main story line that Michael presents to them at the start.
"Their imaginations frequently astound me and add great depth to the story," Michael said of the process.
Michael then writes a book based on their ideas and publishes it, with the excitement the kids show when they see the finished book a "very fulfilling" feeling for Michael.
He has written 14 books this way, with the benefit apparent in the children's improved literacy skills and increased enthusiasm for reading.
The move to Wingham is part of an exciting period of Michael's life, with one of his novels, The Janus Conspiracy, currently being reviewed by American screenplay writer Ellen Fontana.
On top of this, Michael is also a publisher himself, with 33 works by other authors published by him.
Michael will be delivering a talk and a book release at Taree Library on June 17, at 1pm.
He plans to discuss the reasons why he became a writer after many years as a business consultant, as well as his collaborative projects with school students and his own upcoming projects.
