"It is a great community event," sales agronomist Aaron Kemp said.
"We're really happy to be a part of an event that fosters kids through agriculture."
Aaron himself readily admits he wouldn't be involved in agriculture today if it wasn't for Beef Week. It has become a family thing with Aaron's wife, Rebecca being Beef Week secretary.
Aaron will spend the better part of this week helping out with general emcee and running duties.
And while the event isn't as visible as it used to be for the rest of the community, Beef Week plays an important role in the education of agriculture students.
"They are the future of the industry," reminds Aaron.
"I'm really proud to be involved in that."
Taree and Wingham Produce is a locally owned and operated business with more than 25 years of experience in rural farming supplies.
Owned by Craig and Sue Allport, the business has been servicing the Manning Region since 1988 when Wingham Produce opened in the old Butter Factory at 28 Primrose Street Wingham.
Wingham Produce still operates out of these premises today.
An expansion in 1989 saw the expansion of Taree Produce now located at Lot 3 Whitbread Street Taree.
The business has most recently won the coveted title of NSW CRT Business of the Year for 2014. Since joining the CRT group in 2006, they have been a finalist for the past eight years, taking out the National Business of the Year award in 2012.
Taree & Wingham Produce has previously won the NSW CRT Business of the Year in 2008, 2009 and 2012.
This local business has worked hard over the past 20 years to ensure that their name is the first locals think of when it comes to their farming needs.
Supporting Beef Week is just one example of the business being deeply committed to the local agriculture industry.
"Beef Week is a great bench mark for local beef producers, there is friendly competition and they receive great feedback," said Aaron.
Taree and Wingham produce stores provide material support to the event and have been instrumental in organising sponsorship through their supplier companies.
Such big names as Merial Animal Health, Virbac, Seed Force and All Flex have all helped support this unique, and proudly local, event.
