This is a rare event with the senior shooters, so it was an outstanding effort for a junior.
A-graders Mike Millen and Tony Moon also shot extremely well, with Millen only missing three centres in two rounds.
Mike Millen won A-grade with 100.17, followed by Tony Moon 100.10, Jim Blackmore had an ordinary first round due to a faulty target but came back with a strong 50.4 in the second for a total of 95.6, Steve Southwell fired 92.2.
In B-grade Max Purnell started on the new season in a winning way with a score of 96.8, Doc Keith Gleeson shot 90.3, Chris Barnard back from F -class to full bore scored 86.1, Frank Alcott 75, and Gordon Higgins transferring from F-class to try his luck with full bore fired 68.
F-class A was taken out by Tony Galati 112.6 narrowly defeating Mike Rogerson who had equipment problems and fired 111.7, with Rob Bartlett on 109.3.
F-class B was won by Todd Barnard with his fantastic score of 120.8, smashing his opposition. Next was junior Ronan Moon who had a very good first round of 56.2 for a total of 108.3, Jon Knight had a strong second round for a total of 101.4 and Bev Rogerson 97.3.
The handicap trophy was won by Todd Barnard.
