Craig-Dobson's inaugural season with Sydney University Cricket Club has ended on a high note with him being a recipient at the awards evening held on Saturday April 18.
Jonathon won the following awards:
o U21's Player of the Year - for the Poidevin Gray Shield
o Most Valuable Player - Undergraduate Award
He also came second in both the bowling aggregate and average for the Club. This is certainly a good start to his Sydney cricketing career.
Craig-Dobson was happy with the result; saying that "it's been an eye opening experience and a productive opening season".
These awards are an acknowledgement of the effort and dedication that Jonathon has put into his cricket performance; as part of the Elite Athlete Cricket Program for Sydney University, he trains up to 20 plus hours per week and in addition has individual coaching sessions for batting and bowling. He has been selected as an all-rounder and has made progress through the grades over the last season.
The training facilities and support of coaches has been tremendous. Craig-Dobson will have one month off and recommence his training program in May.
