Last weekend the boys played Panthers Gold at Taree. It was the first game for the year and it didn't take long for the Tigers to put points on the board with Jett Gilbert making strong charge through the Taree defence for a great try. It wasn't long after that Cooper Young crossed over the line. Taree hit back with try in the corner. Jack Baker was quick out of dummy half and crossed the line for two great try's while Jonothan Aiken stepped his way through for a great try .
Panthers crossed the line out wide just before the end of the second 10. The Tigers started the last 10 with some strong defence from Reuben Ruttley and Jett Gilbert causing mistakes from the Panthers. Tyson Hall made a good run and crossed the line in the corner. Jett Gilbert made another strong run to cross the line for his second try. To finish the game off Reuben Ruttley stepped his way through to cross the line. Great start boys.
This weeks game the boys took Panthers Green at Wingham and the boys were never troubled. Jett Gilbert put first points on the board with a strong run. Then it was Lleyton Moore, Jonothan Aiken and Aiden Lewis who crossed the line for the Tigers. The Tigers defence was great putting Taree under pressure every time they had the ball. Mason Lewis and Tai Urchart made some great runs as well as Cooper Young who crossed the line for a great try. Will Hansen and Reuben Ruttley both crossed the line for some great try's. All credits to Taree they tried hard and crossed the line for some good try's . Lleyton Moore and Jett Gilbert both crossed for there second try to finish off a great game. Keep up the good work boys.
