Grade 1 won by Forster
Grade 2 won by Wingham – we are on a roll girls!
Grade 3 won by Tuncurry
Grade 4 won by Forster/Tuncurry in division 4/2 – Wingham came home full steam ahead for second place in grade 4/2 -wow.
A “play-off” will now take place against the other side being 4/1.
Grade 5 won by Black Head.
Congratulations to ALL who played in the district pennants, unfortunately there can be only be one winner in each grade.
Special mention
Ladies bowlers after all your good work in “winning” the district No2 flag, you now have to go further up the ladder (so to speak), to play for the regional flag.
The regional flag to be played at North Haven Bowling Club on Monday May 18 and 19.
Match times will be announced closer to the date.
If possible, we would like to see some Wingham spectators (if you can) come along to rally the bowlers along.
Important dates to remember
The district unfurling of No 2 flag will be held at Wingham Bowling Club on Thursday June 4.
The itinerary will be announced closer to the date.
Our AGM will be held on July 15.
At home
MEMORIAL pairs event was played in an 18 end format and one game of triples.
Results are D Matheson, S Wolters defeated N Foy and J Duncan.
K Carlton, C Willey defeated G Bell and P Weir.
J Ditton, D Polley defeated L Cross amd R Gillogly.
M Hinton and J Pedron had a draw against P Marcus and J Thorburn.
C O’Donnell, L Gilford, M Hollebone defeated L Dennes, T Rushworth and J Nash in the triples event.
Winner
Win + 11 ends with a margin of 15 was J Ditton and D Polley.
Runner up was D Matheson and S Wolters.
Next week
Major singles will close and be drawn on April 23 at 9am .
Play will depend on ladies playing in district events.
Also social bowls will be played.
