On Wednesday the vets played a stableford event for the Frank Lawrence Trophy.
There were 49 starters and the winner was Peter Tait with 36 points, runner-up was Terry Morris 34, third Brian Roberts 33 on a countback. The NTP winners were on the third and 12th Adrian Yeo and on the seventh and 16th Adrian Yeo.
Thursday chook run
THURSDAY proved to be a Brown affair with Reid coming first and second with 21 points, dad Rod was third with 19, Col Tubby edged out Gary Stackman on a countback after both scored 18 points. The NTP winners were on the third Graham Steel and Neville Blanch on the seventh.
Friday ladies
CHRIS Cavanagh was the winner on Friday, well done. Ball winners were: Beth Braham, Debbie Stewart, Narelle Smith, Pat Whiteley, Pat Marcus, Cheryl Andrews and Robyn Dudgeon. The NTP winner was Robyn Dudgeon and Marcia Fowler was the best 45 marker.
Saturday golf
THE annual open weekend was held in glorious weather. Saturday the Jax Tyres two ball aggregate was held. Thank you to Glenn and Jan for your sponsorship, there was a great array of trophies. The winners were Damien Moore and Syd Gilfillan with a great score of 78 points. Damo had his best round ever with 78 of the stock for 43 points, second was Graham and Tony Henwood 72, third Rod and Reid Brown 68 and fourth Rex White and Barry Brown 66 c/b.
Individual winners were Jason Fowles 40, Cam Darby 37 c/b and Matt Brislane 37 c/b.
The NTP sharp shooters were on the first and 10th winning the Wingham Plaza Butchers voucher was Tony Henwood, third and 12th Wingham Remedial Massage Geoff Swaffield, fourth and 13th All About Conveyancing Mark Blanch, seventh and 16th Bayview Seafoods Rod Desborough, ninth and 18th Bent on Food Dave Andrews. Balls went to 66 on a countback.
There was a great array of trophies on Sunday too when Glass 24/7 sponsored the open day – a big thank you to Glass 24/7 for the support.
The winner was Josh Mawby from Moree with a great two over par 74, runner-up Warren Gorton.
Net winner was Geoff Harvey and runner-up was Peter Budden.
Greg Foy was the winner of the B-grade scratch, runner-up Richard Dudgeon, B-grade net Craig Harrison, runner-up Cam Darby, C-grade scratch Dean Donovan, runner-up David Fisher, net winner Daryl Heywood, runner-up Steve Foy. Congratulations to all winners.
Next week will be a stableford event for the captain versus president trophies. The 25th will be a stableford for the Wingham Beef Exports trophies.
