As part of getting ready for Anzac Day, Terry, Ian and Ron Irwin (president) from Wingham RSL Sub branch visited the Wingham Cemetery, in preparation for the service that will be held there on Friday April 24 at 5.30pm.

They noticed the old gates badly needed sprucing up.
Ron contacted the Greater Taree City Council and they advised at this stage, they could supply paint and brushes, so the RSL sub branch gathered their resources to complete the job.
On Friday, April 3, Ron and a couple of others got the brushes out and you can already notice the improvements on the gates.
They will be going back to the cemetery to complete the finishing touches this Sunday, April 12 at 10am and all are welcome to join them.
