ON Tuesday March 17 district bowls was played with Grade 2 teams played at home against Tuncurry / Forster Sports.
Karen Carlton and team lost 10 to 20.
Denise Matheson and team won 24 to 17 with Tuncurry/Forster Sports coming away with a handsome four points to Wingham’s one point.
After six rounds of district pennants, the point score stands with Wingham on 15 points and Tuncurry/Sports on 14. Wow !!
Grade 4 pennant team played on Thursday 19th at home against Tuncurry with Gwen Bell and team winning with 35 to 3.
J Ditton and team lost 16/17.
Overall it was a win to Wingham with four points, Tuncurry one point.
In Grade 4/2 Forster leads with a substantial lead 19.5 to Tuncurry/Sports with 14.5 points after six rounds in the district pennants.
Social bowls was also played on Thursday with Grade 2 practising for their next round and it was a “close” game.
It showed that our teams are evenly matched.
K Carlton, N Foy, C O’Donnell and S Solters defeating L Cross (skip), R Gilogly, L Gilford and M Hollebone 14-13.
That’s what you call a close game!!

On Tuesday March 24 - Grade 2 and Grade 4 are “home” to Forster club.
Thursday 27th – Grade 2 are “away” to Tuncurry.
Grade 4 have a bye.
