A teenager and a man have been charged following a home invasion at Wingham, where up to 40 reptiles were stolen.

A 17-year-old boy, was sleeping in the lounge room of his home in Wingham about 3.40am Saturday when three males allegedly entered the property.
The three males threatened the teenager with a knife before assaulting him and stealing up to 40 reptiles, heating lamps, and reptile food before fleeing the location.
Following investigations, detectives attended a home in Wingham later in the day and spoke with a 17-year-old boy and his mother.
A search of the premises was conducted with police seizing a large number of reptiles – including a Woma Python, Golden Tailed Gecko and a Bearded Dragon – and other items.
The teenager was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station where he was charged with a number of offences including break enter and steal, and commit serious indictable offence.
He was refused bail and will appear at a children’s court on Monday.
Following further inquiries by police, a 26-year-old man from Wingham was arrested at 11.25am on Sunday. The man was taken to Taree Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter, and commit serious indictable offence. He has been bail refused to appear before Taree Local Court.
