PETER Williams took this title for 2015 when he came up against Howard Snelson. The game went for 39 ends with very little difference in the scores throughout with Howie in front by a shot on the 33rd end. It was then Peter who came home the stronger winning 31-24.

Minor singles
PETER Kriss enters the semi-final after his 31-18 win over Mark Hammond and another semi-finalist is Paul Swan and he accounted for Alan Cox 31-20. Graeme Ireland got away to a good start against Glen Pope leading 20-8 after 15 ends and finally winning 31-14.
In a very close game throughout the 40 end battle saw Robert Allen eventually get Mick Hollebone 31-30. As the marker Ben Wolters was able to witness a great struggle with both players deserving to progress to the semi-final stage of the championship.
Pennants
OUR top grade came up against Taree West at home and the honours went to the Tigers by 14 shots. Once again Rex Dawson’s rink had a good win, this timy by 16 shots and getting 14 of the 21 ends. Steve Matheson and his men were down 24-17 with four ends to play, however they won each of those to get up by a shot. On a low scoring game Tom Moore’s rink went down 16-13.
Once again the four grade came home without any points, this time at Tuncurry losing by six shots. Graeme Walkers rink did have a drew 20 apiece, however Glen Dennes went down by two shots and John Black and his rink down by six shots.
Wednesday 9.30am social
ALLAN Messer and Peter Williams with a +22 won the event and they accounted by Barry Kershaw and Tim Richardson. Runners-up were Mal Cannon, Ross Piggott and Jake Kennett with a +21 over Col Hinton, Garry Williams and Gerry De Pyper. Brian Williams and Andrew Leung witha +11 got up against Tony Baker and Allan Dodd. In the remaining game, Greg Bartlett, Mick Hollebone and Max Cumberland won with their +16 over Dallas Hammond, Ben Wolters and Guy Watts.
Wednesday twilight
PAY Payton and Peter Kriss took out this event with a four shot victory against Steve Matheson and Peter Tutty. Lucky runners-up were Jim Lowman, the ‘sledging slaughterman’ Col Mc Taggart and Mark Hammond. In the remaining game John Gillogly and Snow Trenchard took the sting out of their opponents Hunter Payton and Allan Dodd with a 22-8 win. John might now get a good price off Snow for his vealers.
