WINGHAM Rifle Club competitors lined up at the 800 metre range and whilst hoping for an overcast day, instead had bright, hot and humid conditions and once again that kept scores lower than expected.

Rob Bartlett in F-class was the only shooter able to put two good rounds together.
Captain Jim Blackmore blitzed A-grade with a total of 93, but recorded nine centres.
B-grade was won by Nick Kenny with 84.2 ahead of Doc Keith Gleeson who fired 81.5.
F-class A-grade was won by Rob Bartlett with a solid performance and scored 111.3, followed by Tony Galati on 106.5.
F-class B was won by Gordon Higgins who had a good first round of 56.3 for a total of 107.3.
Then junior Ronan Moon had a better second round of 54.2 for a score of 102.2, followed by new club member Gary Ellis who fired a terrific second round of 56.1 for a total 99.1, Barry White 92.4 and Bev Rogerson 92.3.
The handicap trophy was won by Rob Bartlett.
Next week will be 800 metres.
