It has been a long held dream of the club members to have nets at their sporting facility at Cedar Party Reserve.
Until now the club has been using two nets at Wingham High School.
The nets are all part of the bigger plan to turn the facilites at Cedar Party Reserve into the regions premier cricket ground.
News of the grant comes in the wake of the club working on an application for an infrastructure grant to build a club house.
"It's all about building up the facilities at Cedar Party," said club administrator Catherine Craig-Dobson.
"We'd like to be able to hold regional carnivals which will ultimately help the economy of the whole town."
Stalwarts of the Wingham Cricket Club Mick Stinson and Matthew Essery are delighted with the progress and hold great hopes for the future.
"It's the best field in the area," said Stinson.
"We're proud of what we have got."
Matthew Essery pointed out that the improvement of local facilities will benefit the junors just as much as the seniors.
"We want to keep them in Wingham, and not lose them to other sports," he said.
The funding of the $15,680 Sports Facilites Program grant for the three nets is expected to come through later this month.
