The umbrella is the larger version and was left at St Luke’s Anglican Church following the funeral of the late Beryl Cox in December 2014.
Should this belong to you or you know someone who is missing their ‘storm stick’ please contact me 6553 1055 or leave a message with the girls at the ‘Wingham Chronicle’ office to arrange collection.
Another item that wasn’t really lost but looking for a new home was purchased by me from the Anglican Op Shop recently and now has now found a place at Tinonee Historical Society Museum – it was a brand new tea towel displaying the history of the ‘Australian Dunny’ and will be included in a planned outdoor dunny display shortly.
Many thanks for the help of the op shop staff who were helpful and pleasant – if you are looking for something different and don’t want to pay new price why not try the op shop, you could well find the item you are looking for in the wide selection of items available.
Birthday wishes
MANY happy returns to Doreen Collier who celebrated another birthday on February 2 and we hope it was a very happy day for you.
Doreen’s nephew’s John and brother Leigh Murray are also celebrating their birthdays this month, John’s on February 14 and Leigh on the non existent February 29 so he has to wait until next year when it comes around again to have a proper celebration.
To you all have a wonderful day.
Early notice of craft weekend
COMING up in a couple of weeks at ‘Artisans On the Hill’ at Mondrook is their annual expo which will be held over the weekend of February 20, 21 and 22 and there is sure to be something to interest all.
A cost of $5 will get you admission with this being donated to the Volunteer Rescue Squad, a very worthy organization, and I also hear there will be eats available as well, I think it is being run by the Rotary Club.
If you can get there I am sure you will enjoy the crafts and workshops operating during the Expo.
New residents
A WARM welcome is extended to new neighbours Cheryl and Wally who have come from the Camden region to settle in their new location across the road from us.
We hope that they enjoy their change of pace and lifestyle in this lovely part of the Manning.
Friendship group meets
FRIENDSHIP Group members will gather at the Tinonee Memorial School of Arts Hall this morning from 10am for their first time in 2015.
No doubt there will be planning for the coming months on the agenda and included in this will be Seniors Week during March.
If you would like further information please contact co-ordinator Judy Cluss on 6553 1450 or Elaine Crossman 6553 1588.
