Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead was pleased to announce the funding for the Showground Trust since it was appointed to provide funding for works to upgrade the showground's facilities.
"I was delighted to recently attend the Wingham Rodeo which was a terrific event that was very well attended by locals and visitors alike," Mr Bromhead said.
"I was also delighted to present life memberships to three hard working members of the rodeo committee.
"The rodeo is very popular and numbers could be increased through some government funding in a few more important areas.
"The Trust committee has done a wonderful job and has attracted significant NSW government funding already which is good for everyone concerned.
"The latest grant provides money to upgrade of the caravan park and laundry facilities.
"I have also suggested to the Trust that they consider applying for significant grants to provide for greater improvements to facilities at the showground.
"I asked the Trust to put together a list of works and quotes for them which can allow access to several grant programs involving major capital works, perhaps in the range of several hundred thousand dollars.
"I look forward to working with the Trust in helping them develop what is an already iconic facility in the beautiful Manning Valley."
