Four students from Wingham High School made the Distinguished Achievers List in the 2014 HSC, which is an outstanding result for the school.

Aiden Hartveld, Joel Hedge, Ailie MacKenzie, and Maxwell McKellar are the proud students to have made the list.
Maxwell McKellar is the Wingham High Dux for 2014, with the highest ATAR of 98.65. Max was in band six in advanced english, economics, business studies and legal studies.
He intends to study economics, commerce, accounting and potentially law at university. He would eventually like to become a chief financial officer and work for one of the big four banks.
Ailie Mackenzie's ATAR was 92.4, with her band six subjects being extension english two and legal studies. Ailie is attending Macquarie University next year to work on a combined degree of arts and science. When she graduates, she aims to be a palaeontologist.
Aiden Hartveld received an ATAR OF 89.4, with geography and economics being his band 6 subjects. Aiden has a position with the Early Entry Scheme and will be studying at the University of Sydney.
The Early Entry Scheme, which was conditional on his ATAR score, brings with it $5000 and an ipad, plus a lot of extra support.
Joel Hedge, school captain for 2014, has already moved to Sydney so was unavailable for comment, though we hear he was very happy with his results.
Deputy principal Kim Dixon is very excited about the students' results. "I am so proud it's ridiculous", Kim said. "This is the best set of results in the four years I've been here".
Shirley Clissold, careers advisor, is similarly proud. "It's well deserved. They worked hard and deserved to get these results", she said.
