Thank you to the hardy players who turn up each week for their games, it's not pleasant out there with the heat but it is players like you who keep the club going.
On Wednesday 54 veterans contested the John Aldous sponsored event. The winner was Jim Bradshaw with a great 44 points, next was John Daly with 43 points who beat Geoff Swaffield on a count back.
The nearest to the pin winner on the third and 12th was Gary Stackman and on the 7th and 16th Terry Thompson put his shot in close.
The OBE winner was Neville Hall.
On Friday the ladies nine hole comp was won by Marcia Fowler well done. Ball winners were Joy White, Robyn Dudgeon, Dot Clarke, Jan Baker and Jeanette Meanwell.
The NTP winner on the third was Sharon Juozaitis and on the sixth Marcia Fowler. The 45 marker prize was taken out by Gloria Burden.
On Saturday the annual Tiger Pins was played. This event is sponsored by Graham and Lesley Steel and Rod Brown. The overall winners were Ben Marron who won the scratch with 71 off the stick, the net winner Jim Bradshaw 65 net on a count back. That is two wins in one week; Rhonda must be looking after him well.
The A-grade SCR winner was Neville Blanch 77, net winner was AJ Miller 75, B-grade SCR Terry Harris 83, net winner was Gary Croucher 65, C-grade SCR Martin Campbell 87, net Col Tubby 69 c/b winning his first trophy well done. The ladies comp was won by Katrina Greenaway.
The sharp shooters for the day were on the first and 10th winning the Wingham Plaza Butchers voucher was Ben Marron who was that close to the green he used his putter for his second shot, on the third and 12th Richard Clark won the club trophy voucher, the All About Conveyancing voucher on the fourth and 13th was won by Alex Kees, the 7th and 16th voucher for the Bayview Seafood was taken out by David Broadbent and the Bent on Food voucher was won by AJ Miller.
Ball winners were: Garry Masters, Richard Clark, Geoff Swaffield, Bill Osborne, Dennis McKeough, Paul Sheppard, Terry Thompson and David Broadbent.
Events coming up on the 29th Saxby Soft Drinks two player aggregate and the club presentation night will be held on December 6. The Taree Motorama Monthly Mug will be played for with MRD Electrical Monthly medals and the Kangaroofing long drives.
