The reading will begin at 10am, and in addition to having her books for purchase, she will also have free giveaways for children by way of colouring books and bookmarks.
Maureen, an ex-English teacher, is a self-published author who has been writing stories since she was eight years-old. However, she has only been writing seriously for publishing for the last five or six years.
To date she has published 11 books, six of those being children's picture books in the "Alphabet Animals of Australia" series that are illustrated by a local artist, and one children's chapter book, "Fairies of Aurora", also illustrated.
She has also published four seasonal gardening guides (winter, spring, summer and autumn) that are aimed at those of us who don't naturally have a green thumb or inbuilt gardening nouse.
To add to her catalogue, Maureen will be releasing a contemporary adult novel titled "Tarnished Gems" just before Christmas under the nom de plume 'Marguerite Wellbourne'.
Maureen's work can be purchased online at Amazon as ebooks, and you can also visit her facebook page 'Ebooks by Maureen Larter'.
Printed copies of her books can be purchased on the day of the reading at the Little Red Cafe.
Maureen will also have a stall at the Night Bazaar in Victoria Street, Taree on Saturday November 9.
