Amongst the many wins that the students achieved were the outstanding results of Jonty Hemmingway for Champion Retail and Primal ID, and the Wingham High School team as runner up.
The team consisted of Jonty Hemmingway (team coach), Teanna Peckett, Kate Stocks and Victoria Lee, with Tom Butler and Hayley Brood as extras, who didn't make the team but gave it an excellent shot.
Jonty also triumphed to win Grand Champion Beef Judge, with Victoria Lee as runner up.
Jessica Hudson won the accolade of Grand Champion Parader, and Wingham also cleaned up with the "Wingham Beefy Boys" team placing first and "the Wingham Meatheads" placing third in the open unled judging class.
Carcass judging was only completed on October 30 and results just released, with two of Wingham High's steers winning Grand Champion Lightweight and Reserve Champion Middleweight, and numerous other carcass competition wins to add to the collection.
Agriculture teacher Charlie Cassells couldn't be prouder of his students and says what really makes the wins special is that not only was the school competing against other students, but commercial beef producers.
Charlie said there must have been over 100 teams of adults and students in the open unled competition.
But Wingham High's beef team cannot rest on their laurels.
Now the Beef Bonanza is over, they are already concentrating on preparing steers for the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show and Wingham Beef Week.
