Fourteen year-old Sienna and her horse competed in the NSW Young Rider Dressage Championships in the school holidays, and rode away with the Champion Elementary Rider prize.
This was followed up in the second week of holidays when Sienna was named Junior Elementary Champion and Reserve Official Elementary Champion at the Alexander Park Regional Dressage Festival in Port Stephens.
Locally, Sienna competed at the Manning Valley Championships where she was awarded both Junior and Open Official Elementary Champion.
Sienna has also qualified and been accepted into the Australian Dressage Championships (Nationals), to be held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre on October 22 to 26, for elementary level, making her and her horse one of the top 35 rider and horse combinations in Australia.
In November Sienna will be presented with an anward for Bronze Medal Novice rider at a dinner for the Dressage NSW 2014 Annual Awards.
In addition, she is the winner of the Elementary Amateur Owner Leaderboard at Clarendon in Sydney.
And Sienna has only been riding for four years, after her mother caved in after years of harassment to buy a pony!
Sienna has only been in partnership with Tallyho Something Special for a year, and has been training him herself.
Sienna and her family want to give a big thank you to her coach Nell Marshman, Tahllyho Something Saintly's breeder Adora Roberts-Taylor and Wingham High School for being so supportive towards Sienna in helping her achieve these excellent results.
She said she was very shocked and excited to be named the State Champion Elementary Rider, and her goal is to represent Australia at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo or the Olympics in 2024.
And if Sienna's points keep amassing the way they are, we have no doubt she will be well on her way to her dream.
