Congratulations Craig and Glenn, with Cam Darby and James King a mere two shots back on 86 points.

Corey Moore and Tony Lattimore filled third spot with 79 points.

In the individual event, the course was the winner with Terry Thompson the only player to reach 40 points.

Terry beat Bill Osborne on 39 points with Rohan Abbott third with 38.

Ball went out to teams with 67 points and better.

Nearest to the pins were a real mixture again with Rohan Abbott claiming the "shot of the day" with his approach to the tough little 4th/13th hole to win the All About Conveyancing prize.

Not to be outdone, father Trevor Abbott did likewise to win the Manning Natural Healing 3rd/12th hole.

Other winners included Rod Brown as usual on the Wingham Plaza Butchers 1st/10th, Phil Hanlen the Bayview Seafoods 7th/16th and the long hitting Ben Marron on the short par four 9th/18th Bent on Food hole.

BEFORE one ball was hit Wednesday morning, the course/weather was the winner with only 23 players brave enough to venture onto the course.

The unusual cold and very windy weather certainly caused a lot of veterans to stay in bed.

Of those braver souls, Cec Pedron emerged the winner with a fine 38 points.

Second spot went to an inform Garry Stackman with 37 points on a countback.

Phil Anderson was relegated to third spot, also with 37.

Nearest to the pins were difficult to win with the exceptionally strong winds, however the farmers came to the fore with Terry Morris the winner on the 3rd/12th and David Homewood likewise on the 7th/16th.

THE afternoon ambrose players must be a more dedicated lot than the vets with 56 players turning up in the windy conditions.

Despite the conditions, scoring was quite exceptional with several groups three under or better.

However with handicaps, less than one shot still covered the first five teams.

Of these, "Kings" (captained by Jake Smith) were eventual winners from "Operators" (Tim Smith), "That'll do" (Scott Dwyer) third and "Family Ties" (Saul O'Brien) fourth.

David Blair from "Below Par" hit a great shot straight into the westerly wind on the difficult third hole to claim both a birdie and the NTP.

Back in the clubhouse, David Wilson from the "really old tigers" team won the port and was only too willing to share it around, and around, and around.

Speaking of "tigers'", we have three teams this year, "young tigers", "middle aged tigers" and of course the "old tigers team".

GARRY Stackman's "purple patch" continued Thursday with a phenomenal score of twenty six points.

"Stacky" won the day by three shots from George Legge whose 23 points beat third placed club captain Neville Blanch by a further two shots.

"Stacky" also won the NTP on the third hole with a superb shot as did Peter Wakeling on the seventh hole.

IN other news, Bulahdelah Golf Club open day was held Sunday and Wingham "cleaned up", with Ben Marron (one over par 71) winning the day.

Scott Polley also played well to finish runner-up.

Another Wingham player, young 15 year old Reid brown was three over par, and won both the Junior and overall Nett events.

Krambach "Vets" held their open day last Thursday and several Wingham players figured in the prize money, including Phil Anderson, Neville Bell and Garry Stackman.

THIS Saturday's event is an individual Stableford for the Wingham Beef Exports trophy and is also the eighth and final round of the Drummond Golf trophy.

The following Saturday is the November Taree Monthly Mug and the final Monthly Mug/Medal/Long Drive event for the 2014 season.
