Yes Spring has sprung at last.

Gwen Bell and team were having a very close game against Narelle Foy's team until the middle of the match, when Robyn Gillogly hit her straps and continually put bowls in the head which scored.

After being eight on the ninth end, Gwen and her girls finished with a good win 27 to 11.

Claudia O'Donnell also played triples against Leonie Gilford.

This game was neck and neck on the 13th end, but finally Leonie and her girls moved forward to a nice win.

On the third rink the ladies played a game of pairs, with Lillian Cross and Gloria Burden, playing Karen Carlton and Maree Dolan (nee Ritter).

This was the game of the day with only a small win to Lillian and Gloria, who were the overall winners of the day with the smallest winning margin.

Next week September 25 the semi final of the Minor Singles will be played:

Di Lewis v J Thorburn (marker R Gillogly) and J Duncan v C Lockery (marker N Foy).

Social bowls will also be played.
