The hands-on workshops offer participants the opportunity to get creative using sustainable harvested bamboo, alongside re-used and recycled materials.
As an added incentive for those interested in trying their hand at this creative venture, sculptures produced during the workshops will be displayed at the Wingham Akoostik Festival in October.
"Participants will co-create a large sculpture or a series of smaller sculptures that will be exhibited at the festival," Will Eastlake said.
"The workshops will bring together the diversity of skills and talents that everyone has, to produce something unique and only possible through that collaboration," he said.
The Mid North Coast is home to several large bamboo plantations, with bamboo widely known as a sustainable and strong building material that can be used both externally and internally in building construction.
Based in Wingham, LeMire and Eastlake have produced installation pieces for festivals and exhibitions around Australia, including the famous Sculptures By The Sea exhibition in Sydney.
The duo are offering a two-day workshop on the weekend of September 13 and 14 , and a one-day workshop on Thursday, September 25.
The workshops run from 10am till 4pm each day.
Places are limited at both workshops; interested applicants can request application forms by emailing hello@akoostik.com.au.
