Last year the Tigers tackled the heavily favoured Taree City in the major semi and came away winners.
However, Wingham then went down to Forster-Tuncurry a fortnight later in the grand final.
Port Macquarie and Wauchope dominated the competition-proper this year but Wingham showed it's anything but a two-horse race by thrashing the Blues 34-10 in preliminary semi-final last Sunday. This was by far Wingham's best display of the season.
Wingham's Shannon Ellem started the first grade elimination semi-final on Saturday before lining up in the 18s match on Sunday. The Sharks also have their share of players who have experienced first grade this year.
Defending premiers Forster-Tuncurry will tackle Wauchope on Saturday. The Hawks scored a hard earned 16-12 win over Old Bar in the elimination match last week.
Games on both days will start at 12.05.
