Athletics New South Wales is coming to Tuncurry on August 29 and 30 to deliver its Road Show to Forster Athletic Club.
The ANSW Road Show is a series of presentations and clinics designed to improve club capacity and expertise across all levels of participants.
It is designed for club committee members, club members wanting to become coaches, athletes who want to attend a coaching clinic run by elite athletes and members of the club willing to contribute to the event through group discussions.
It usually involves the following aspects:
o Free level one coaching accreditation courses- run between 8.30am -5 pm
o Free coaching clinic for athletes under 20, presented by Australian champions and world and Olympic representatives
o A clinic on the IMG system for all club committee members who use the IMG System and want to utilise its full potential.
o Sessions which address the following; Clubs Health Check, School Engagement and Geographically Significant Issues
Forster Athletic Club is delighted to be hosting a Road Show at Tuncurry Bowling Club on Friday August 29 from 6pm when the above issues will be dealt with along with an open forum for members to ask questions of ANSW.
On Saturday August 30, also at Tuncurry Bowling Club a Level 1 “Community Athlete”Coaching Course will be delivered between 8.30am -5pm.
Lisa Corrigan and Matt Lynch both former Australian representatives will deliver Super Clinics in Middle Distance and Sprints lasting two hours from 9am to 11am for the Over 12s at South Street Oval Tuncurry.
Also at this time Forster AC members will offer Technique Clinics to Over 8s including most LAA events including hurdles, triple jump high jump and javelin.
These will be delivered by Colin and Brenda Smith, Emma and Laura Stokes, Julian Schneider and Kevin Garland.
All activities are free of charge with the exception of the FAC clinics which will attract a single fee of $5.
Forster AC Draws members from Taree, Bulahdelah, Wingham, Wauchope, and Gloucester among other places.
