A further 19,300 homes and businesses across NSW have been added to the National Broadband Network (NBN) rollout schedule this month including Wingham.
They encompass 17,100 premises in the fixed line footprint where pre-construction activity has begun in parts of Greater Sydney, the Central West, the Hunter region and the Mid North Coast.
Physical construction is also underway for fixed wireless facilities that will deliver fast broadband to more than 2,200 farms, homes and businesses situated outside metropolitan areas:

On average it takes around 12 months from the start of construction until residents and business owners can receive NBN services from phone and internet providers.
“For families in rural and regional communities in particular, NBN provides access to internet speeds and capacity that many in the big cities take for granted.” NBN Co spokesperson Darren Rudd, said
NSW leads Australia in the take-up of the NBN, with more than 72,600 families and businesses already connected.
The fixed-line-and fixed wireless footprints pass more than 167,300 NSW premises.**
