Wingham's own Bent on Food has again been successful at the North Coast Tourism Awards.

Owner Donna Carrier and her team were delighted to receive a silver award in the restaurant and catering category and gold for excellence in new category food tourism.

A wide cross section of the North Coast NSW Tourism industry gathered under an elegant marquee in historic Trial Bay Gaol at South West Rocks on August 16.

These celebrations come on the tail of a recent announcement that the North Coast of NSW is the third most popular destination in Australia behind Sydney at number one and Melbourne at number two in attracting domestic overnight visitors.

On Saturday the North Coast Tourism Awards Hall of Fame welcomed three new inductees, Moonshadow Cruises (Port Stephens), Clarence Valley Wilderness Lodge (Clarence Tourism) and The Glasshouse, Port Macquarie.

They enter after having each won North Coast Tourism Gold Awards for three consecutive years.
