A stellar year recognised

LJ Hooker Wingham’s Craig Hailes stellar year was recognised in Sydney on the weekend with the sales agent receiving the real estate network’s inaugural Roger Stark International Rural Award.

Craig won the award in recognition of his unmatched sales in the rural sector among LJ Hooker’s competitive Australian and New Zealand offices.

Accepting the award at the gala ceremony at Sydney’s The Star Casino, Craig said he was humbled by the recognition.

"LJ Hooker has a very strong representation throughout the regional and rural areas of Australia and New Zealand, and some excellent agents as well," he said.

The rural selling season has been strong in and around Wingham in the past year.

There have been plenty of motivated sellers and eager buyers looking to take advantage of improving property prices and record low interest rates.

"As much as I’m thrilled with my own result, the award also speaks volumes of the confidence in the rural sector around Wingham," he said.

"Local farmers are recognising the agricultural experience behind our team and buyers respond to answers given with real knowledge."

LJ Hooker created the International Rural Award in honour of Roger Stark, a veteran stock and station agent of New Zealand’s thriving rural sector.

LJ Hooker CEO Grant Harrod congratulated Craig on his outstanding achievement.

‘"LJ Hooker has many talented people working within the rural sector," he said.

"We believe it is vitally important to recognise rural specialists in not only the performance of their own office, but also the role they play in their wider communities.

"Craig approaches his work with the highest professionalism.

"He has set a very high bar for future recipients of the Roger Start International Rural Award."
