Rees was sent off by referee Barry Murray midway through the second half of the clash with Forster-Tuncurry.
The Tigers were leading 18-12 at the time but went on to win 26-12.
Rees pleaded not guility and faced a two match ban if this was unsuccessful. This would have ruled him out of the the last competition game and the opening match of the finals.
The judiciary viewed a DVD of the incident while Rees also received written support from Forster-Tuncurry second rower Luke Ross, the other player involved. The hearing lasted about half an hour.
