TAREE Quotarians expressed their personal sadness, in the quiet reflective beauty of lighting candles following the tragedy of Malaysian Airlines MH17.
The following was spoken by Debbie Steber as individual Quota members lit candles.
"Today the families of MH17 received a little emotional nurturance - their loved ones have started the journey home. When there are so many miles between us how do we say to someone who loses someone they cherish - I'm sorry for your loss.
"It's as simple as lighting a candle pause, reflect and send our heart messages. It's our invention of farewell.
"We all share a love for mankind and the bonds that bind our hearts as families.
"Tonight we honour those families. We share your grief and our blessings will be with you always.
"Somewhere, somehow, their shadows must give way to sunshine - as sadness passes with time and broken hearts can one day sing again."
