A MEMORIAL service for former Taree man Michael Clancy and his wife, Carol, who were among the 36 Australians killed when the Malaysian Airlines aircraft MH17 crashed over Ukraine last Friday, will be held at St Clare's High School at Taree tomorrow (Saturday).

Michael, 57, attended St Clare's (then known as Taree Catholic High). He later studied to become a teacher.
He was a retired deputy principal at Albion Park Primary School and has been described as an extraordinary educator.
The Clancys were on their way home after a three week trip to Europe to celebrate Michael's retirement.
