FOUR Wingham basketballers were members of the Taree Tornadoes under 16s side that won the Northern NSW League following the finals played at Grafton.

They are Jordan Woodward, Jaland Small, Miles Mitchell and Alex Milliken. The coach, Chris Small, is also from Wingham.
Taree completed the season unbeaten and defeated Quirindi by more than 40 points in the semi-final. Quirindi earned another crack at Taree in the final, however, the Tornadoes prevailed 74-50.
Jordan was named most valuable player (MVP) for the series.
Miah Mitchell, Miles' sister, was a member of the Taree under 16 girls team that also qualified for the northern finals.
