As part of the program Ebony, Jasmine, Emillie, Mikayla and Melanie have each volunteered at least two hours per week for 10 weeks at the Taree PCYC.
Club manager, Tammy Homewood said one of the core beliefs of the program is that great communities are made up of great citizens.
"Blue Star aims to equip participants to be the best citizens they can be," she said.
On completion of the program the five girls have each received a certificate in both Active Volunteering and First Aid.
The program is open to both male and female young people over the age of 16 and those wishing to nominate for the next program should contact Taree PCYC.
