THE Chocolate Foot Mountain Bike series will get a $1500 boost to its coffers from Greater Taree City Council after it adopted the sponsorship panel recommendations for the 2014/15 financial year.

The successful series is one of 21 events in the Manning Valley that will dip into a $26,200 funding pool following the decision of councillors to approve the funding at its June 18 meeting.
The events to receive sponsorship are:
Old Bar Beach Festival $2000, Wingham Akoostik Festival $2000, Harrington Festival $2000, Taree Aquatic Power Boats Easter Spectacular $1800, Taree Annual Show $1500, Craftathon $500, Wingham Show $1500, Wingham Sesquicentenary of Public Education $500, Mountains to the Sea Hot Rod Run $300, Manning Valley BMX NSW State Series Round V $1000, Dirt Track Tri-Series $1000, Manning River Dragon Boat Regatta $1000, Manning Valley Horse Health and Management Expo $500 and 2015 Troy Bayliss Classic $1000.
The following events have been approved to receive sponsorship subject to a review of the 2014 event:
Envirofair 2015 $1000, Weekend on Wheels $600 and the Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival $1000.
The following events have been approved subject to provision of further information:
Wingham Chamber of Commerce Christmas Carnival $1000, Rotary Manning Valley Schools Spectacular $1800 and the Lions Club Hallidays Point Christmas Fair $200.
