More than 350 junior riders will take part in the Manning Campdraft, part of the 31st Glowalman Junior tri series event.
This year the first of the three events will begin in Nabiac on Tuesday July 8, followed by Gloucester on Thursday with the final round of the campdraft and sporting championships in Wingham.
The Glowalman title is a prestigious one and for those also vying for a State title their points from Glowalman can go towards the State championships.
There will be a veritable mix of competitors - some super keen to win and improve their resumes and other's just happy to be taking part.
"One woman rang me from Sydney and she is just happy to come away for a holiday with her children and horses," Diana Brown, secretary of the Manning Junior Rodeo Club said.
Families came from far and wide to offer their support to the junior competitors.
"We've had entries from as far as Norromine, West of Dubbo and there will be a lot coming from Glen Innes and Tamworth areas," Diana said.
For a few local families it is a wonderful opportunity to compete closer to home.
Wingham brother and sister, Aaron and Brooke Anderson are experienced riders who love having the chance to show a local crowd what they do often.
Other local riders expected to take part include Claudia Greenaway, Dylan O'Hara and Callum Owen.
Local grandma Betty Jones is usually there to cheer on granddaughter Kate.
"We've been coming for years," she said last year.
Gates open at 7am at the Wingham Showgrounds on Saturday July 12.
