Wingham women gather to create a culture of peace

CREATING a culture of peace is like weaving.

There are many threads and many colours, a glorious diversity of conviction and experience.

Wingham women recently gathered to learn about creating a culture of peace.

Led by two experienced facilitators from the international organisation Creators of Peace www.cop.iofc.org, the women explored their personal understanding of peace and peace-making.

“The metaphorical loom, or frame, on which we weave is our shared intention to create this culture,” said new Manning Valley resident Ruth Brunner, who joined the weekend workshop in order to make connections and share her own journey.
