Agreement: The wage dispute at Wingham Beef Exports is over. Workers took part in a secret ballot vote on Tuesday with the majority agreeing to adopt a new proposed agreement.
Signs: Tinonee student Hayley Kluin has been announced as a joint winner in Greater Taree City Council’s recent Design a Sign competition. Earlier this year council called for entries from local primary schools to design a sign in conjunction with council’s “Protecting the Health of the Manning” project."
Forum: A public community forum is being held in Krambach on Wednesday, July 2. Greater Taree City Councillors will be at the School of Arts Hall in Krambach from 6pm to 7.30pm to discuss issues important across the area and the Manning Valley.
Support: Responding to calls for more support for prostate cancer patients in the Manning Valley, a new prostate cancer support group has formed. The Manning Valley Prostate Cancer Support Group will meet on the fourth Thursday of every month, 2pm at Club Taree. The next meeting will be held Thursday June 26.
Jersey day: The Junior Rugby League community came together yesterday to support Curtis Landers. Students were urged to don their football jerseys at school and raise funds to help the 15 year old in his recovery.
