A total of six fishers braved the cooler weather and windy conditions to bring home a total of 38 fish for a combined weight of 25 kgs. Species caught included Tailor, Blackfish, Bream, Flathead and Whiting.
Assistant weigh master Chris Burdett had an easy job weighing the catches as Neil Miller recorded them.
After handicaps were worked out it was Wayne Reeves who took out the prize voucher for the outing.
Foundation member and regular fisher, Len Dunbar was the lucky winner of the club vouchers, while Neil Miller won the Greenaway's Taxi vouchers (they have recently come on board as monthly sponsors for the club).
Twenty six members were in attendance for the BBQ at Wingham Rifle Club and enjoyed a tasty BBQ under the capable control of Neil Miller whilst thanks go out to Margaret Oldham for help organising the salads etc.
President Jack wished member Kylie Bell, a very happy birthday which fell during the week, and he then reminded members that deposits are being accepted for the Laurieton Long weekend.
This month will see a second outing being held on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29 and all hope Mother Nature and the elements will be a little kinder to those who love their fishing.
