THE Upper Lansdowne Players were thrilled to be asked to participate in The Manning Winter Festival, taking two one act plays "on tour" to four locations across the Manning Valley. The plays, directed by Vivienne Scott, Breakfast For One by David Foxton and A Cut In The Rates by Alan Aykbourn, will have their opening night at Killabakh Hall on Saturday June 14 at 7pm.
Breakfast For One is a comedy set in upper middle class Paris in the early 1900’s. There are many hilarious twists and turns as the ‘do-gooder’ comes unstuck, confusion reigns and, of course, love triumphs over all. A very entertaining play, full of laughs.
A Cut In The Rates is a short thriller with a glorious twist in the tail. Follow the unfortunate Miss Pickard as she tries to track down some ….. well, never mind, that would be telling, you’ll just have to come and see for yourself! A guaranteed chuckle and laugh all the way home.
The tour kicks off at the Killabakh Hall on Saturday June 14 at 7pm. Tickets are only $15, which includes a delicious supper and show. Incredible value for a fun night out. Bookings are essential. Contact Carol on 6550 5792 or email carol_saul@hotmail.com BYO wine etc.
With the Killabakh ladies catering and The Upper Lansdowne Players performing, a great night out is assured. Book as a single, book as a double or make up tables of 8, 10 or 12 – just book now!
