Jessica is a student of Tinonee Public and the only primary student from local schools to be competing. As the daughter of Wingham High Ag teacher Charlie, Jess is well placed to strut her stuff next to high school students from across the state.
Today (Wednesday) the young ones impressed and Jessica was placed second in the under 13's 'pee wees' parading alongside first place getter Lachlan Costello from Armidale. Jessica was dwarfed by her charge 'Jaffa' who weighs a whopping 580kg and is the largest animal on the Wingham High Show team.
On Monday Jessica came third in the judging competition at the Wingham High Field Day.
Judge Casey Weeks was also impressed with Wingham High's Aaron Walker who placed first in heat one of the 13 years parading. Dressed "immaculately" and controlling his animal 'Ice' well scored him a coveted blue ribbon.
Competitions with the live animals continue today and tomorrow.
