THE Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival committee advises that, due to circumstances beyond its control, there will be no separate céilidh (Scottish concert) on the Sunday afternoon this year (June 1).

Instead, as it is the 700th anniversary of the battle of Bannockburn (1314) there will be a Bannockburn Luncheon at the Wingham Services Club. The program there will include a presentation on the battle and Scottish musical items by local performers, as well as a three-course Scottish lunch.
