WINGHAM Beef Week 2004 got off to the perfect start last weekend with huge crowds rolling in for some of the highlight events of the festival.
Both the street parade and family fun day were held under perfect weather conditions which attracted bigger crowds than last year.
Organisers were particularly pleased to see strong participation in the street parade, which made its way along Isabella Street, as well as many spectators lining the street for the event.
The family fun day attracted people of all ages and Central Park was packed with stalls. In its 17 year history Wingham Beef Week has traditionally attracted many visitors from outside the area and this year looks no exception with many new faces spotted around town.
