THE Whiddon Group Ladies Auxiliary held its annual fete at the Masonic Hall on Saturday. President Marilyn Kelly said she was very pleased with the results and funds raised will go towards equipment for the residents the Whiddon Group's aged care facility in Wingham. "We have received terrific support from the public," said Marilyn who describes the auxiliary as a small but hard working team. The Whiddon Group Ladies Auxiliary recently sponsored Delta Dogs to visit residents of the nursing home and Marilyn said the new funds raised will go towards something that will make the residents more comfortable. Last year the auxiliary put money towards special air beds that serve to cushion a resident who may have tender, broken bones.
