LAST week, three teams played in the District Fours will all teams going through to second round with some tough competition.
We had social bowls with one game of pairs and one game of three bowl triples.
In the pairs event L Dennes and M Hollebone defeated P Weir and S Wolters.
In the Triples event N Fotheringham (skip), J Thorburn, G Burden - 15 defeated C Lockrey (skip), D Lewis, J Pedron - 14
Coral tried out some new skipping skills this week with some good bowling to keep this score on an even level against Noreida's experienced skills.

At home will be the first round of club championship singles event and the draw is as follows:

Saturday morning bowls with Narelle
Well we must be a hardy bunch or just trying to get out of doing housework to play in such gusty cold winds for a game of bowls !!
We had 15 lady bowlers, with one game of pairs and two games of triples.
Results are as follows:
The pairs game came away to win the day with a win +13 and the triples team of skip Val Leeson's team win +10 with runners up prize.

Special Mention:
It is with great pleasure, we all at WBC wish Norma Platt a very "special" happy belated birthday for last Wednesday April 30. Your lady bowling friends would like you to celebrate your special birthday next Thursday after your game.
Reminder that the Men's Bowling Club have two special events coming up for June and extended an invitation for the ladies to play in these events.
o June 9 (Monday Queen's birthday) event, can be either mixed or all the same gender. Open two bowls triples, $15 entry per player includes barbecue lunch, start 10am in mufti dress (casual). Prizes to the value of $500 with winner and runner-up prizes.
o Sunday June 22 - nominated mixed pairs, $15 each/player includes barbecue. Prizes: $300 in cash prizes for first, second and third places.
All in all, there are plenty of bowls to be played over the next two months, so hope to see a good roll up to these events.
